Training Tower Development

The training tower project was initiated around 1999, with conceptual (and at the time, highly speculative) design, funding, and development plans set into motion. Over the next several years, the Department and Township restructured capital savings in a series of five year plans, which set the stage to fund ths project over time.

In April of 2008, a contract bid was awarded to WHP Training Towers, Inc. to construct a four story training tower with a two story residential simulator and garage attachment. An additional contract was awarded to furnish the foundation design and concrete installation, which began in October 2008. Excavation was provided by the Forks Township Road Crew under the direction of Mark Roberts.

Completion is targeted for the end of 2008. Check back often for updates on the construction progress!
