Greetings,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and the Forks Fire Department Officer Corps for 2010. I am Charles “Chuck” Chapman and will serve as Fire Chief. I have been a member of Forks Township Fire Department for over ten years. My family and I relocated to Forks on a Military assignment with the Army back in 2000. Since that time I’ve retired from the military, work in the civilian sector and we call Forks our home.
Dan Dawson has been elected as Deputy Fire Chief in 2010. Dan’s eight years with Forks fire, provides him an excellent foundation to perform in the rank of Deputy Fire Chief.
I would like to introduce the rest of the officer corps for 2010: Tim Weis – Fire Marshal, Jason Janis – Captain, Pat Mellet – Captain, Darrin Dobrosky – Lieutenant, Matt Mowery – Lieutenant, Bill Carver – Lieutenant and Jevin Russo – Lieutenant. We look forward serving the community of Forks Township and our members at Forks Fire.
We are 100% staffed 24/7 by dedicated Volunteers. We provide Fire and Rescue service to both Forks Township and Stockertown Borough. The members of Forks Fire are fortunate to have outstanding support from the leadership and citizens of Forks Township. This support has provided us with a modern fire station, training tower facility, and apparatus. As volunteers we are always looking for additional individuals who are interested in serving their community as a Fire Fighter. The only expense is your time. All training and equipment is provided for you by the department. We conduct our training and meetings on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. Please stop by if you are interested in volunteering or just want to say hello.
